Whether you're a long-time supporter or visiting Madison for the first time, this year's event is designed to feel like a destination experience, with curated food stops, event maps, and commemorative features that make it more than a meal. With visitors coming from Chicago, Milwaukee, and beyond, this 10th anniversary is more than local, it’s a regional culinary celebration. It’s a citywide celebration of flavor, legacy, and local pride.

$5 Food taste jamboree

Kick off Madison Black Restaurant Week with food, community, and flavor at the $5 Food Taste Jamboree. Enjoy tastings from participating food vendors while celebrating the start of a week dedicated to supporting Black-owned restaurants, food carts, caterers, and more.

Community Resource Partners and Non-Food Vendors for Shopping and Family Fun

In addition to our featured restaurants and food vendors, we’re proud to welcome Community Partner Vendors to the $5 Food Taste Jamboree! These local organizations, artisans, and small businesses will be on-site to offer shopping, services, and community resources throughout the event. 

Plus, don’t miss our family-friendly Kids Area—with fun activities for children of all ages.
