$5 Food taste jamboree

The $5 Food Taste Jamboree is an outdoor event. In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, organizers reserve the right to cancel the event. No refunds will be issued. Photography and video may be captured during MBRW events. By attending, you consent to being photographed and recorded for promotional purposes.

Kick off Madison Black Restaurant Week with an evening full of flavor, culture, and community at the highly anticipated $5 Food Taste Jamboree.

This family-friendly experience brings together Black-owned restaurants, food carts, caterers, sweet treat makers, and culinary entrepreneurs from across the region for an exciting celebration of food and connection.

The Jamboree is more than a food event, it’s a celebration of culture, visibility, and economic impact for Black-owned culinary businesses throughout the region.

Volunteer at the $5 Food Taste Jamboree & Other Special Events


Help us create a fun, welcoming kickoff experience for Madison Black Restaurant Week. Volunteers will support event setup, guest registration, vendor assistance, hospitality, and cleanup.

Also joining the $5 Food Taste Jamboree: 
Community Resource Partners and Non-Food Vendors for Shopping and Family Fun

In addition to our featured restaurants and food vendors, we’re proud to welcome Community Partner Vendors to the $5 Food Taste Jamboree! These local organizations, artisans, and small businesses will be on-site to offer shopping, services, and community resources throughout the event. 

Plus, don’t miss our family-friendly Kids Area, with fun activities for children of all ages.
